They have had their dewclaws removed had their first deworming and will be ready for their first round of shots in about a weeks time. We have 3 sold already, Rio, Giggsie and Ole (All boys). Leaving Alex (Girl), Rooney (Boy) and Tevez (Boy). 22/DEC/07 (Diva/Okie puppies have arrived) Diva was restless almost all of yesterday and was nesting and pacing, pacing and nesting. At around 10.45pm Sat 22nd December she gave birth to her first little puppy, a cute Chocolate colored male, then as follows 11.05pm a black male, 11.40pm another black male, 12.10am a black female, 1.34am a black male and finally at 2.15am a black male. (5 boys and 1 girls, a nice litter for her first time) She did real good, we helped her get the first one cleaned and taken care of and then she handled the rest like a pro, so far she is looking like she is going to be a great mom. 18/DEC/07 (Xmas is coming and the Diva is getting big!) Seems we are all filled with a little nervous excitment around here. Diva is due to deliver her pups any day now, each night we go to bed wondering if maybe tonight is the night. Kayleigh keeps giving Diva big hugs around the house as if to say "its gonna be ok Diva dog". This is Diva's first litter so she must be wondering what is going on. Why am I so big? Why cant I run good anymore? Why am I craving Banana's and Ice Cream?.......... 06/DEC/07 (Playing catch up with the news) We just got back from Iowa after a 2 month visit. Erin and Kayleigh had initially flown out to Iowa on the 16th of September. At the time Gabby was pregnant and was due to deliver on the 30th of September. I had intended to drive up to Iowa on the 28th but in the early hours of the 26th Gabby decided it was time to start having puppies. She started sometime between 12.30am and 1.00am and delivered her last pup of 8 at around 6.20am. So I set out for Iowa on the Friday 5th of October with Gabby, 8 pups, Vixen and Tango. Gabby and the pups in the back of the truck with the seat folded up and Vixen and Tango sharing a crate in the pickup bed. After a couple days on the road and a brief stop overnight at Amy and Jeffs in Murfreesborough, TN I finally arrived in Iowa at around 8.30pm on Sunday the 7th October. Our intent was to hopefully sell most of the pups in Iowa. We stayed with Erin’s folks for almost two months, we sold one pup in Iowa, one to Germany that is being collected in Florida and the rest to people in Florida. We had to buy a trailer to get all the dogs back to Florida. We left Kayleigh with her Grandma and Grandpa (Gina had agreed to fly our to FL with Kayleigh once we got home) and headed back on the 26th November. Erin, I, 12 dogs (Gabby, Diva, Tango, Vixen, Markus, Boo, Tricks, Harvey, Hal, Tootsie, Pumpkin, Jack), the truck and our new trailer. We arrived back in Florida on Saturday evening at around 8.30pm. © Labra Dabra
