A) Typically yes, these pups are hypo-allergenic however due to the Labrador gene occasionally a pup might have a very small amount of dander. We have had no complaints from any of the pup owners we have sold to in the past. If you have a specific concern with a family member we welcome you to come and see, play, hold pups in order to give you peace of mind. Q) Do you recommend crate training the labradoodle pups? A) Absolutely. It not only makes housebreaking a breeze, it also gives the puppy a “safe place” to call home and to have quite time. We would recommend you buy a crate large enough for the pup when he/she is full grown, however while still a small pup we recommend a divider as this makes their space a little smaller and helps with the house training process. Q) Do labradoodles required frequent grooming/maintenance? A) No, they sometimes require clipping and trimming around the eyes. Also some people prefer to clip their whole bodies during the summer to help keep them cool. Once clipped the coat usually takes between 5-6 months to grow back to its previous length. Q) Do labradoodles typically have many health problems? A) No. The cross between the Labrador and the Poodle has weeded out many typical diseases associated with these two breeds. All our pups come with a two year health guarantee against genetic sicknesses and or issues. Q) Are labradoodles easy to train? A) Yes. The Labrador and the Poodle are two of the smartest breeds of dogs and this intelligence is transferred to the labradoodle. They tend to pick up new commands and tricks quickly. We usually have our pups partially house and crate trained from around six weeks old. Q) Are labradoodles good with children? A) Yes. Our puppies are well socialized. We have a young daughter who plays and cuddles with the pups from an early age. Both Labradors and Poodles have excellent temperaments when it comes to adults and children alike. The labradoodle is very much a people dog. Q) Do labradoodles require a lot of exercise? A) While labradoodles do have a lot of energy, if you do not have a fenced in yard a daily walk and some play time is sufficient. Labradoodles love to lay on the couch, bed or carpet and love to be around their owners. Q) Can labradoodles be trained as service dogs? A) Yes. While none of our pups have been trained to be service dogs the labradoodle is becoming more prevalent in the service dog industry due to their temperament and intelligence. © Labra Dabra
